Lost Place in Brandenburg

14 March 2023, Brandenburg, Vogelsang: The ruins of the former power plant directly on the German-Polish border river Oder. The Vogelsang power plant was built towards the end of the Second World War and was intended to cover the growing demand for electricity. The construction had to be built by forced laborers and prisoners of war. The power plant never went into regular operation and was dismantled after the war as reparations. All the equipment was dismantled on the orders of the Soviet Military Ministry. Today, only the building shell with the two 100-meter-high chimneys remains.
