Extended EU Eurogroup Ministers Meeting

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - JANUARY 20, 2020 : President of the European Central Bank (ECB) Christine Lagarde (L) talks with the EU Commissioner for An Economy That Works for People - Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis (C) and the EU Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni (R) prior to an Extended Eurogroup Ministers meeting in the Jusuts Lipsius, the European Union Council headquarter on January 20, 2010, in Brussels, Belgium. Ministers will discuss the follow-up to the Euro Summit of 13 December 2019. At the Euro Summit, leaders agreed that finance ministers should continue the work on the deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). Ministers will discuss: 1: The way forward on all elements of the further strengthening of the banking union. 2: The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) package of reforms. 3: Solutions for the financing of the Budgetary Instrument for Convergence and Competitiveness (BICC).
