Severe Torture Of Indian Forces Renders Kashmiri Man Handicapped

' They said we just want to ask you some questions,' Qalendar says . At a nearby BSF camp, Qalendar says he was tortured for two days. ' The BSF accused me of sheltering militants. I was just a farmer. I didn't know any militants but they wouldn't believe me,' he says. After six months of continuous torture including severe beating and electric shocks to genitals and other body parts in different BSF camps, Qalendar says he was shifted to the notorious ' Papa 2' interrogation center in Srinagar, where the BSF hacked off both his legs. He was then shifted to the Kot Balwal Jail in Jammu, where he 'rotted for the next four years, without any medical care.'
