Burials of rain victims at Petropolis cemetery

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL â FEBRUARY 19 : Search and rescue and debris removal works are underway for rain victims at Petropolis cemetery in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on February 19, 2022. In Petropolis, gravediggers are working 12 hours a day, rain disrupts searches, and sirens are activated; at least 140 people have died. There are still 191 people missing and about a thousand people who are homeless. Efforts to locate survivors and recover bodies of rain victims in Petrópolis continued on Saturday (19), but were cut short at 1:45 p.m. when the rain started again. According to the Civil Defense, alarm sirens have been activated, and two warnings have already been given to communities by SMS and communication groups, informing them of the development of rain on February 19, 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
