Senator Paul hearing exchange with Fauci on coronavirus community

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul asks National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci on videoconference at a Senate HELP Committee hearing about betting survivors of coronavirus could have some form of immunity, asking him to set the record straight that coronavirus could lead to immunity, Fauci answering he was correct because given what was known about recovery from viruses like the coronavirus in general or any infectious disease with very few exceptions in antibody present very likely indicated a degree of protection but to say it was formally proven by long-term natural history studies the only way to prove one was protected was also the degree or titer antibody that gave a critical level of protection, but durability was made on the reasonable assumption it was protective, Paul responding that was important because in all likelihood the vast majority of people with immunity, but the World Health Organization fit into saying there was no evidence of immunity when in reality there was evidence stacking up and different studies had shown it was very unlikely that a victim would get it again in the short term.
