INT WS: Rockette Alyssa Epstein tells children " You can hardly sleep, me, too because I was so excited to teach." BRIEF CUTS: Epstein and other Rockettes dancing with children. MS: Stephanie Consiglio says " It just made me so happy. And like so I felt like my dreams are coming true." BRIEF CUTS: Epstein and other Rockettes dancing with children. PARTIAL VO: Girl says " I had lymphoma." MS: Caroline Watters says " When I was two, I was diagnosed with a chronic myelogenous leukemia." MS: Consiglio says " : In December I was diagnosed with stage three germ cell cancer." PARTIAL VO: Girl says "dance was the only sport I was allowed to do during treatments. So it let me be free for once instead of wrapped in all those wires." STILLS: Girl during dance class and cancer treatments. BRIEF CUTS: Epstein and other Rockettes dancing with children. INT MS: Epstein doing her hair. MS: During interview Epstein says " On February 27th, my parents were actually the ones who gave me the diagnosis. I have been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. And, yeah, my life was turned upside down. All my plans were on hold. WS: Members of the Rockettes practing dance moves. GFX: Insert still of Epstein. PARTIAL VO: Epstein says " I made the aggressive decision along with my doctors and my family to have a double mastectomy. Being a dancer, I’m so connected with my body physically. And it was the first time in my life I-- I didn’t know how to do anything anymore. I was felt like an-- if a newborn could explain how they are feeling and trying to walk. You know, things are in different places." MS: Epstein dancing. GFX: Montage of images of Epstein and other Rockettes. PARTIAL VO: Epstein says " I actually did make at a point to go to dance class when I could. When I had the energy to go and I was in the right mental state. I made sure to go. Because that was my connection back to my normal life. INT MS: Epstein looks into mirror. CU: Christmas ornaments. PARTIAL VO: Epstein says " Stepping on to that stage for the first time after the year I’ve had, was like the first time I had ever stepped on that stage." PARTIAL VO: Epstein says " When I look at these kids, they inspire me to live my life to the fullest because they are fighting the fight. And they are wining. And they are amazing.
