08302018 - Redding, California, USA: Charred remains of a home surround a swimming pool in a neighborhood off Buenaventura Blvd in Redding. The Carr wildfire destroyed more than 1000 homes, killed a firefighter, and a woman and her two grandchildren, (left 8 dead in total) and burned for over a month. The fire was one of several wildfires that began in California in July of 2018 and burned 229,651 acres in Shasta and Trinity Counties as firefighters struggled to contain it.
