In a studio interview with Holt, psychologist and a life coach Michelle Callahan says a lot of folks lose the joy because they're so stressed out about trying to accomplish so little--so much in so little time, says there are people who are not into the holidays and they get dragged along and that causes stresses for them, says if you can put a focus on helping others, it's a great way of keeping the focus off of worrying about your finances, says caring for other people helps you keep a balance in there, says it's so important at the holidays to just try to hold down some of the madness that you might normally want to get into, says if people are picking fights with you, you've got to really push back from the table, walk away, take the higher ground, and resist the urge to just jump in and bite someone's head off, and says it's important to set a budget, to set a limit on clean, decorating, cooking and gift-giving.
