INT NEW YORK CITY MS: In interview New York City policeman George Mauras, who recently got engaged to his police partner Karen Perez, says "We met in the 40th precinct. From the time we were partners she always had my back." MS: In interview Perez says "He told me we might be stuck together so I was like I don't mind. He's good looking." STILLS: Mauras and Perez, both in police uniforms. VO: Mauras says "We had so much in common and with time we just fell in love." INT MS: Perez says (part VO) "The first time I said I love you to George we were on patrol. He also told me I love you too and I was like Oh my God, did he just say that?" STILL: Mauras and Perez, wearing their police uniforms, kissing with GFX heart superimposed. STILL: Mauras, wearing his army fatigues, and Perez. STILL: Mauras holding a weapon in Iraq. INT NEW YORK CITY MS: In interview Mauras says "I said wow, I'm definitely not going to take Karen for granted. You know once I come home I'm definitely going to propose to her." STILL: Perez in her police uniform superimposed next to an American flag and an enlarged police badge. INT NEW YORK CITY MS: Mauras says "I mean she's a police officer so she would eventually catch on to certain things." STILL: Mauras and Perez. INT NEW YORK CITY MS: In interview Perez says (part VO) "He tricked me so many times. First he took me down to the Poconos. And that was a surprise. I didn't know. He just took me and I was like, ok." STILL: Mauras and Perez riding horses in the Poconos. INT NEW YORK CITY MS: Mauras says "She was like Oh my God. This is it. Today's the day. But it was only a decoy." INT BRONX, NEW YORK AT THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN MS: Model train moves down tracks at the holiday train show. EXT DAY BRONX AT THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 2 MS: Banner for the holiday train show pulls back to show adult and child walking to the entrance. MS: Fast motion of Mauras and Perez walking to and entering the garden. INT BRONX AT THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN MS: Model train moves down tracks. INT NEW YORK CITY MS: Perez says (part VO) "We got there and he was taking so much pictures. He was just like going on and on. He was acting a little strange. So I'm like ok, yeah. And that's when the train came to a stop and I was like?." INT BRONX AT THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 2 MS: Mauras takes photo of himself and Perez. 3 MS: Man takes photo of Mauras and Perez. MS: Model train's wheels as the train moves down track. MS: Note "For Karen" and ring box on the train moving down the track. MS: Footage of people standing around Maruas and Perez at the model train area as Mauras says "Hey look at that. Look. It has your name on it." MS: Mauras' hand (faces unseen) picking up the ring box. MS: Mauras carries the ring box to Perez as in VO's child yells "Put it back" and Perez says "Oh my God you didn't." MS: Mauras holds Perez's hand and says "Karen you know I love you with all my heart. You're a beautiful person inside and out and nothing would make me happier than to have you by my side for life" and gets down on one knee as Karen shakes her head yes and Mauras says "Karen Perez will you marry me?" and Perez says "Yes" and spectators applaud. MS: Spectators applaud. 2 MS: Mauras' hand (faces unseen) puts engagement ring on Perez's (faces unseen) finger. MS: Perez and Mauras kiss and hug near spectators. MS: Women and man stand with Perez and Mauras as one woman says "It wasn't only you crying. I did too." MS: Mauras and Perez sip champagne with interlocked arms. EXT DAY NEW YORK CITY MS: Perez, holding flowers embarks a Bentley. MS: Driver closes the Bentley's door to show sign "George And Karen Just Got Engaged" on the door. MS: Closer shot of the sign. MS: Panning shot from driver's hands (faces unseen) on the steering wheel to point of view shot of driving down the highway. 2 MS: Mauras and Perez in the back seat. INT NEW YORK CITY 2 MS: In interview next to Mauras, Perez gives a thumbs up and says "We had people on the highway going like this to us. They were honking an waving." EXT DAY NEW YORK CITY 2 MS: Mauras and Perez in the Bentley as Mauras motions to the window as car horns are heard. MS: Statue of Liberty. MS: Ritz Carlton doorman opens the Bentley's door and welcomes Mauras and Perez. MS: Mauras and Perez walk up the stairs into the hotel past applauding hotel employees. MS: Camera crew follows Mauras and Perez up the stairs past the applauding employees. MS: Panning shot of the applauding employees. INT NEW YORK CITY 2 MS: In interview (part VO) next to Perez, Mauras says "They all lined up on the side of the street and were clapping and cheering congratulations. I felt like a celebrity" and Perez says she did too. INT NEW YORK CITY IN THE RITZ CARLTON BATTERY PARK MS: Bellhop welcomes Mauras and Perez into their room. MS: Framed photos of Mauras and Perez in their room. MS: Employee throws rose petals on the bed. INT 2 MS: In interview next to Mauras, Perez says "I was like, wow. They had our pictures everywhere. That was really nice." INT NEW YORK CITY IN THE RITZ CARLTON BATTERY PARK MS: Fast motion of bellhops carrying luggage and cart of clothes from Bloomingdales into the room. MS: Fast motion of a Bloomingdales rep hugging Mauras and Perez near the bellhops as in VO the rep says "It's all about you today." MS: Fast motion of the rep leading Perez out of the room as Mauras and the bellhops watch and Mauras says "Have fun." MS: Fast motion of Perez modeling dresses. 2 MS: Fast motion of rep watching Mauras model clothes. MS: Perez enters the room wearing a dress as Mauras says "Wow you look beautiful" and says he loves it. 2 MS: Van Cleef & Arpels jeweler puts necklace on Perez. MS: Diamond earring worn by Perez. MS: Perez and Mauras walk down hallway and are greeted by man. MS: Perez and Mauras pose for photos in the cocktail room. STILLS: Perez and Mauras. INT NEW YORK CITY IN THE RITZ CARLTON BATTERY PARK MS: Perez and Mauras enter their room as family and friends cheer and applaud. MS: Perez and Mauras with family and friends. EXT NIGHT NEW YORK CITY MS: Fireworks by the Grucci Brothers including two hearts in fireworks. INT NEW YORK CITY IN THE RITZ CARLTON BATTERY PARK MS: Perez's cousin William serenades the couple and guests. MS: Guests as one wipes tears from her eyes. MS: Guest crying pans to Mauras and Perez near another guest as in slow-motion Mauras and Perez kiss. VO: Perez says "There's no doubt. He is my prince. I love him." Perez and Mauras seen live in-studio. Perez notes what they've planned so far for their May wedding. Mauras says it'll be a medium sized wedding but a military wedding with the swords, and says their fellow officers are very excited about this airing on TV.
