TACTILE SENSORY RECEPTOR---PACINIAN CORPUSCLE in the DERMIS of the SKIN, 250X. Pacinian Corpuscles are very sensitive to touch--they are particularly abundant in the finger tips, lips and genitals. This receptor is in a dermal papilla immediately below the epidermis (stratified squamous epithelium, purple stained).
