Douglas MacArthur Talking with Syngman Rhee

General Douglas MacArthur talks with South Korean President Syngman Rhee during ceremonies proclaiming Korea a republic. Acting under orders from Washington, Gen. MacArthur rushed ammunition and other materials to South Korea as Communist North Korean invaders slashed within a few miles of Seoul.
