Great White Shark, Carcharodon carcharias, swims just below water surface

Great White Shark, Carcharodon carcharias, swims just below water surface six miles off the coast of Gansbaai, quite close to Dyer Iceland, South Africa. Its mouth is slightly opened and his big dark blue eye observes the environment. Also, the shark assess the situation well and focus its hunting tactics accordingly. Frequently he finds his prey on the water surface. The great white shark belongs to the family of mackerel sharks and has very large gill slits and long pectoral fins. The super-predator white shark with its size and strength and his terrible teeth is a permanent danger to the South African fur seals around Dyer Iceland and Geyser Rock. The jaws of the great white shark with sharp triangular teeth in the upper jaw and the needle-sharp Fangs in the lower jaw is infamous and dreaded. The upper jaw is movable and can be pushed forward. The great white shark is almost unchanged for millions of years and has adjusted optimally to its environment. But now there is a danger that it will be exterminated by us humans.
