The dogs raised nothing more alarming than a snore. It wasn't until the theives started on the twenty-fifth house that Honey a four-month-old Labrador puppy, put the big dogs to shame. Honey started to bark Her mother started to bark, too, and so did Sally the mongrel next door but one. The thieves ran. But the big dogs went on sleeping. All of them...Rupert the great Dane, Shep the Alsatian, Tosca and Judy the boxers, Rip the bull terrier, Prince the Labrador, and Sandy the long-haired Mongrel who can't see much anyway.
