China's mass migration for the annual new year holiday is expected to increase to more than two billion journeys in January and February, with passenger flow in the world's largest annual movement of people growing 3.1 percent from last year during the travel period from January 14 to February 22, said Xinhua news agency, quoting China's State Development and Reform Commission. Many of China's estimated 140 million migrant workers, who often only have one holiday a year, will return to their home communities to ring in the year of the dog on January 29.
