Spondylarthrosis of the lumbar vertebrae (lumbar osteoarthritis), with disc osteoarthritis, herniated disc and interapophyseal osteoarthritis. Spondylarthrosis is a non-inflammatory degeneration (osteoarthritis) of the spine. It can be accompanied, as here, by disc osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis of the intervertebral discs), interapophyseal osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis of the vertebral processes), the formation of osteophytes (or parrot's beaks, bony outgrowths) and compression of the spinal cord or nerve roots
