Audio of former valet and footman Sydney Johnson talking about the wardrobe and beauty regime (the stylists for hair and make-up) of Wallis Warfield, Duchess of Windsor (formerly Wallis Simpson) with views of the Duchess's clothes being handled by a woman dressed in a maid's uniform - Johnson says, 'She liked yellow, and she liked pink, but nothing like blue - that was her most favourite colour... I used to love to see her when she was dressed - I used to always stand in the front hall and watch her coming down the stairs, slowly, and I used to watch her and I used to bow to her and I said "how beautiful you look"... and she looked wonderful.'
