RUSHES: Coronavirus: Nicola Sturgeon interview

Coronavirus: Nicola Sturgeon interview; SCOTLAND: Edinburgh: Western General Hospital:EXTNicola Sturgeon MSP (First Minister of Scotland) interview SOT- Q: this is a significant momentA: It is a big moment and after this tough year I've been in to see this vaccination station. It's the first time we can see some light at the end of the tunnel. I'm optimistic.- We're ready I've met the staff who will be vaccinated, I've met the person who will be first to vaccinate. (Car noise)We're going to have challenges, the first one won't be easy to transport or store.- It's important that we stick to the other mitigations to control the virus as well.- The roll out will start across all of Scotland. It will accelerate in the days and week to come. There are uncertainties as well. We only have one vaccine certified at the moment. There are still things that need to be clarified.- Tomorrow is a big and important day. I think it's one that we can look forward to.- There is an uncertainty over what doses and vaccines we will get. We will operate on the best assumptions on that.- I think we've also got to recognise that this is day one. The staff here will need to get familiar with the processes and how it all works. It is a reason to feel more optimistic.- I think like a lot of people I'm feeling concerned about what appears to be happening. There are some sticking points, but I think the British government needs to get real. If there is a deal it will be a bare bones deal. at this stage.. But I hope the Prime Minister will get real around this soon and come out with a deal.
